About introduction to Daoist Meditation:

Eva will explain the health benefits of meditation and lead a practice meditation on chairs, using some Qigong exercises to facilitate the sitting.

Those who do not wish to sit on chairs or directly on the floor may bring blankets or Yoga mats.

About Qigong Level 1/2:

Cultivate strength of body and calmness of mind through the healing Taoist practice of qigong. This intensive is a rare opportunity to receive instruction in two unique qigong lineages, the Pre-Celestial Limitless Gate School (Xiantianwujimen) and the Yiquan School. In Level I, we will practice techniques to strengthen the musculoskeletal systems, nourish internal organs, circulate energy and still the mind. In Level II, we will delve more deeply into postures that cultivate flexibility, strength and softness in the joints, muscles and tendons. Self massage techniques to support our internal organs and circulate qi, or life energy, through our meridians will also be shared.

About Qigong Level 5:

The immortals' Guide to Self-massage and Breath Regulation and the Red Phoenix Calisthenics will be completed in level 5. In addition, by the end of level 5 students will have learned the Internal Five Animals System (tiger, dragon, leopard, snake, crane) of physical strengthening as well as the last two postures of Yiquan Standing Qigong.

About Eva Wong:

Eva Wong is a 19th generation lineage carrier of the Primordial Limitless Gate School of Daoism. The student of Sun Di, she is also a 3rd generation lineage descendant of Wang Xiangzhai. She is an independent scholar who has written and translated many books on Daoism and related topics, including Nourishing The Essence of Life: The Outer, Inner, and Secret Teachings of Taoism and A Master Course in Feng Shui (both from Shambhala Publications).
